Central Australian Drag Racing Association Treasurer, Helen Mills, was awarded the 2017 MotorSports NT Volunteer of the Year Award at their recent club presentation night. Helen became Treasurer in 2015 and has worked extremely hard to put CADRA back on its feet financially. She is also CADRA's licensee, organises their canteen, organises and maintains the club merchandise and stock. Helen isn't afraid to work alongside 'the boys' at working bees and is always friendly and approachable. She has been a solid, hardworking team member for the past 3 years.
Katherine Motor Sports Club member, Terre Prime, received the 2017 MotorSports NT Volunteer of the Year Award at their recent club presentation night. Terre's usual role has been manning the track gates, however he has also stepped into the Pit Marshall role and is always willing to take on any role that is asked of him. Terre has no official ties to the club (he doesn't ride, nor do any family members), yet he volunteered about three years ago and since then has helped at every race meet. KMSC value his calmness and willingness to get on and do any job that is required of him.
Central Australian Rally Sports Club President, Phillip Kerr, was awarded the 2017 MotorSports NT Volunteer of the Year Award at their recent club presentation. Phillip received the award for his tireless work before every club event that goes far beyond his duties and responsibilities as Club President. He is always busy, either setting the course, prepping the track surface or stepping out of competing to make sure everything runs smoothly for events.
